Did you know that the shortest flight in the world operates between the islands of Westray to Papa Westray in the Orkney islands in the north of Scotland? The flight is operated by the Scottish regional airline Loganair using a Brittan-Norman Islander turboprop aircraft, covers a distance of 1.7 miles, and takes between a minute and two and a half minutes. No meal service on that flight, that’s for sure!
