Did you know that Boeing delivered its 1500th 777? The 777-300ER, registered N2243U, was delivered to United, the first airline to operate the 777, with some fanfare today. The 777 is Boeing’s fourth best-selling jet, after the 737, 727, and 747, but is likely to move up to number two within a couple of years thanks to the massive backlog of almost 500 orders Boeing has. The 737 still dwarfs all, though, with 9,571 aircraft built.
